DILLIAN WHYTE claimed he left Tyson Fury “pathetically sobbing on the canvas” in sparring and branded him a “clown”.

Not for the first time Whyte, 32, goaded Fury by saying he floored the heavyweight champion in gym.

Dillian Whyte says he left Tyson Fury ‘pathetically sobbing on the canvas’ in sparring
Whyte called Fury a ‘clown’ for his dancing in the gym

He tweeted: “Gypsy @Tyson_Fury Coward always conning the public you forget I’ve put you down lots before & watched you pathetically sobbing on the canvas you ran away last year when @wbcboxing ordered you to fight me anytime anywhere anyhow #FakeTyson #Coward.

“Listen Luke “Fake Tyson” Fury @Tyson_Fury you’re a deluded Gypsy Coward who lies about everything when I was knocking you down & you were sobbing I felt sorry for you & started taking it easy but next time I will retire you.”

Whyte also called Fury a “clown” on Instagram after sharing a video of the 31-year-old dancing in the gym.

Fury last year accepted a fight against Whyte, so long as the WBC put their diamond belt on the line, which the governing body were willing to do.

But instead the Gypsy King would go on to fight for the real title, dominating 34-year-old Deontay Wilder in February.

It left Whyte, who has been the WBC’s No1 ranked challenger since 2017, again left in the lurch.

He has been promised a mandatory title shot by February 2021, but Fury has to fight Wilder for a third time while also agreeing a two-fight deal with Anthony Joshua, 30, for next year.

Whyte was last year stripped of his mandatory position by the WBC after an ‘adverse finding’ emerged in a drug test before fighting Oscar Rivas in July.

He was later cleared of any doping violations by the United Kingdom Anti Doping but Fury replaced him as mandatory challenger after he faced Wilder.

Promoter Eddie Hearn admits Whyte should take priority in challenging for the belt ahead of Joshua.

Hearn told talkSPORT: “Myself, Dillian and his lawyers have been working hard to make sure that he gets that shot.

“The whole world also wants me to deliver Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury but for me Dillian Whyte must take priority.

“He shouldn’t be denied that world title so we’ve got to put pressure on them.”
