TOTTENAM fans have begged the club to bring Mauricio Pochettino back after he was snapped wearing a Spurs shirt for his son’s new contract.
The 48-year-old was sacked by the North Londoners in November following a dismal run of form that left the side in 14th place in the Premier League.
His dismissal left the majority of fans fuming after he led the club to their first Champions League final just five months prior to the termination of his contract.
He was replaced by Jose Mourinho, but Pochettino’s relationship with the Tottenham fans has remained intact and he continues to be held in high regard by supporters.
His son Maurizio, 19, was set to be released by Spurs on Tuesday, but the winger has penned a new two-year deal.
SunSport recently reported how the club have been left delighted by his progress, and he could be a part of their first team plans next term.
Taking to Instagram, Maurizio posted a picture of him alongside his dad, where he said: “Looking forwards to the new season #COYS.”
But it was what the club’s former gaffer was wearing that caused a stir amongst fans, as they spotted him wearing a Spurs t-shirt.
Commenting on his choice of clothing, one supporter said: “OMG, hahaha when I first saw it I thought it was a throwback picture or something as poch was wearing the Spurs shirt. Didn’t knew it was recent. Hahhaha. Awww.”
